To help our clients feel happy and confident about their treatments with us, we often post on our blog about different procedures we offer, alongside more general skin advice. Today, we’re looking specifically at our lip fillers and answering some common questions. A popular choice for aesthetic enhancement, we’ve carried out countless lip augmentations in our Knightsbridge clinic and would love to share our expert insights with you.
Why have lip fillers?
There are lots you can do with lip injections, from volumising the lips to adding shape and definition, to targeting wrinkles and lines around the mouth. Both men and women have the treatment here in Knightsbridge and Marlow and it’s a great way to anti-age in the facial area.
How long do lip fillers last?
Lip injections typically last around 6-18 months, but it varies between people, metabolism and skin types – not to mention treated areas. As a rule of thumb, many of our Knightsbridge and Marlow clients tend to top up their lip augmentation results every 12 months or so.
Do lip fillers hurt?
Sometimes, our clients experience mild discomfort or swelling, but this usually passes in a couple of days. Also, we prep the treated area with an anaesthetic before you have your lip injections, to prevent any pain. Please be advised that some people develop swelling and bruising following treatment.
Is there any lip filler aftercare advice?
Yes, of course. Our experts will talk you through this at the point of treatment, and we’re always happy to answer your questions. Just get in touch with our team.
Do lip injections treat fine wrinkles?
They tend to target deeper lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth, however, if you have fine lines elsewhere on your face, we may be able to offer an alternative treatment for you. We can discuss this with you during your consultation at our Knightsbridge clinic, to help you get the best possible results.
Does lip filler look fake?
No, we aim to create a natural-looking enchantment that corrects, adjusts and balances. We don’t do dramatic, overblown lips and would rather top up your lip filler than start with too much. Having said this, if your lip fillers use hyaluronic acid, it should be possible to dissolve them.
How do I book my lip fillers?
Simply talk to our Knightsbridge or Marlow team, and we’ll arrange a personal consultation for you at a time and date to suit you.
